Whats Happening at POASD

Fourth graders explore the solar system and PA history during two upcoming performances. OME 4th grade will present Under the Sky at 7 p.m. on May 23, and PE 4th grade will present Oh Pennsylvania! at 6:30 p.m. on May 24. Both events are free and open to the public. Read more.

P-O awarded $654,514 competitive grant for literacy! The amount is for year 1 of the planned 5-year funding stream that requires no local match. This is the largest competitive grant award in the district's history. See presentation to school board in April.
 
Parker Moore OME third graders relive history by researching famous people and portraying them during a Living Wax Museum. All students chose an individual they were interested in learning more about. Pictured at left is Parker Moore as Joe Paterno. See more photos.
 
2012 Annual Senior Prom will be Saturday, May 19 at the Senior High School from 7-10 p.m. This event is open to adults age 50 and older. Tickets are $15 for singles, $25 for couples and may be purchased at the high school office.
 
Seven seniors will represent P-O during the 2012 Entrepreneurship Challenge. Two teams developed business plans for their own companies. See photo.
